Recipe: Vanilla Sponge Cake

Ingredients:

White flour (maida) 1 cup
Sugar                            5 tbsp
Vanilla essence          1 tsp
Baking powder            2 tsp
Cooking oil/unsalted butter   2 tbsp
Milk                                  1 tbsp
Eggs                                  1
Yellow food colour       2-3 drops

Method:

Beat egg until fluffy. Add sugar, vanilla essence, oil, yellow food colour and milk. Continue beating for a few minutes. Now add flour and baking powder and mix using a wooden spoon till dissolved. Now pour the mixture in an already greased pan and put in a pre-heated oven for about 20 minutes. Serve with tea or coffee 🙂
