Hi friends! If you’ve been following my posts, you’d know how big a fan I am of Shea Butter and everything that has this miraculous product in it. I thought why not I do a post on it to share with you all the benefits of this nature’s blessing. After all, sharing is caring, right? 🙂

Shea butter is totally edible and finds use in many food products. Below are the top ten non-edible uses of this amazing ingredient:

1) Enriched with Vitamin A and E, it is an excellent moisturizer and natural sunscreen for skin and is found in various cosmetics.
2) Since it is 100% natural, it can be used on babies to cure eczema and diaper rashes.
3) It can treat dandruff if applied on scalp and makes hair soft and smooth.
4) It has great healing potential and can be used to soothe irritated skin, eczema or insect bites.
5) It works well to heal chapped lips and serves as a natural lip balm.
6) It revitalizes damaged and brittle hair. In fact, it is used in various hair treatments to restore lost moisture and protect hair due to its emollient qualities.
7) Due to its non-greasy texture, it helps to control excess oil in the scalp and promotes hair growth if applied twice a week.
8) Being rich in vitamins A and E, it soothes dryness, repairs breakage and mends split-ends in hair.
9) Its non-saponifiable matter and enrichment with Vitamin F aids in maintaining skin elasticity and suppleness.
10) It acts as an anti-aging ingredient by stimulating the production of collagen in the skin and prevents wrinkles and fine lines by keeping the skin well-nourished.

I hope this information will help in one way or another to treat any of your beauty concerns naturally. I’ll be looking forward to receiving your feedback via comments.

Take care!

I love the smell of shea butter! I’m tempted to try those related to hair. My scalp tends to get irritated and I use almost nothing on my hair besides shampoo and conditioner of course, so I’d like to see how this works. Thanks for sharing!
