Lancome Eyeshadows Review+ Makeup Look 10

5 Nov

Hey girls! Today I’ll be sharing with you my 100% honest review of an awesome eyeshadow palette by Lancome. At the end of this post you’ll also get to see a complete makeup look I created using these shades. So lets get rolling!

image

Lancome released this palette as an Eye Brightening All-in-One 5 Shadow & Liner Palette and it’s called 101 Bronze Amour. At the back of this product they have clearly marked the purpose of each shade. For instance, the top peach shade is designed for all-over base while copper can be used on the lid. For crease they have provided brown shade, whereas, the dark brown one is for liner/contour. A gold highlighter is also included in this palette.

The shades have a beautiful glittery effect and are deeply pigmented and the highlighter has such an amazing texture that I often use it to highlight my cheekbones as well. Sadly, my camera doesn’t do justice to these colours. This palette is around 0.07 oz of sheer beauty. Now, lets have a glance at the makeup look I created using this product.

The two shades of me

Hey girlies! Hope y’all are having a great time. Sorry for being out of scene as I am in Pakistan on a family trip. I’ll be regular as soon as I get back home *hopefully*

I’ve been experimenting a lot with my looks lately. Some days are marked with bright colours while others are spent with nudes and pastels. As you can see, in the picture above, I’ve tried two different makeup looks. First one uses plum lip stain by Revlon and has dramatic eye shadows by MAC cosmetics and Lancome. Second, on the other hand, has a funkier look whose highlight is ombre lips. This is actually my first attempt at creating ombre lips and I am quite happy with the result. Here’s a close up of my second look.

Ombre lips

In this look I’ve blended my orange lippy by Mikyajy with bright pink shade by Elizabeth Arden. For eyes I have used shadows by BH cosmetics.

If you are interested in knowing more details about the products used and techniques, drop me a comment below. I have lots of reviews coming up about my latest makeup haul so keep checking out my space.

Much love!

Hello lovelies! Sorry for being away from my blog for a week now. I was hell lotta busy. Today marks the beginning of Ramadan, an Islamic month of fasting, and last week was spent in its preparation. Hopefully I’ll have more time to post now 🙂

Amidst the hectic schedule and domestic chores I did manage to doll up using my new drugstore falsies. They are absolutely gorgeous. Take a look first.

Review: MAC Lavender Whip Lipstick + Makeup Look 6

11 Jun

Hello beauties! How are y’all doing? Weekend is approaching fast and I am super excited! 😀

Today I’ll be reviewing a gorgeous lippy by MAC cosmetics in shade Lavender Whip. It appeared as a part of MAC Baking Beauties Spring 2013 collection. I am not a huge fan of lavenders and lilacs as I find them a little wonky for daytime and would rather opt for pinks and peaches. However, surrendering to my constant urge for experimentation, I purchased this beauty for around $15. First, lets have a look at it.

image

The best feature of any MAC lipstick, apart from its shade, is its super creamy texture. Lavender Whip has a striking gorgeous shade with smooth texture. It is long lasting and totally smudge-free. I find it really comfortable to wear for the whole day. The pigmentation is stronger than the counterparts but appears a little paler than the true colour. Hence, I applied a lip primer (NYX in shade Nude) prior to the application and the resultant shade was way closer to the original one.

Now comes the complete makeup look.

I only used pastel shadows on the eyes to create a softer look since main focus was intended to be on the lips, of course. Also, I didn’t contour at all nor did I wear any falsies since I was in a rush. I hope you like it. Let me know what you think of this look. You may have a sneak peak at some amazing MAC lipstick shades here!

Much love!
