Review: Mikyajy Cosmetics

24 Apr

This review has been pending for quite a long time now. I’ve been using Mikyajy cosmetics ever since I shifted to KSA (around 1.5 years now). It is a very popular and widely used cosmetic brand in the Middle East. Launched in 1999, today they have more than 220 stores across Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Oman, Qatar, Bahrain and Kuwait. Their kit shown below was actually gifted to me by my fiance (now my husband).

Honestly, I was a bit skeptical about this brand at first as I have always used products by Loreal, MAC, Revlon, Clinique and such other makeup giants. Just because it was a gift I thought I should give it a try and thank god I tried it out. It includes a variety of eye shadows, lip colours, face powders, blushes and contouring essentials. Not only these, it also includes 3 lipsticks, 3 nail enamels, 2 eye pencils, 3 lip pencils, 4 lip glosses (2 double sided bottles), 5 brushes and 1 mascara-liner combo in such a compact packing. The case comes in a very vibrant orange colour which is easy to carry and quite classy to flaunt. The eye shadows are super smooth which spread out evenly and lip colours have really strong pigmentation. I love the lipsticks for their longevity and lustrous quality. They are easy to apply and equally easy to remove, leaving behind soft lips. The mascara and liner are waterproof and smudge free and so are the eye pencils. These pencils work well on the eyebrows too. The best part about this kit is that includes contouring essentials and blushes for two different types of skin colours. I am not much happy with the nail enamels though. Their colours are vibrant but the texture is not as smooth as that of their counterparts. The inclusion of a small mirror has made this kit all the way more user-friendly. It has a great value for money and can be presented as a beautiful gift. Below are a few samples of their product results.
